Manual for the WaterMark Certification Scheme

Monday, 10 July 2017

The rules for the improved WaterMark Certification Scheme, to be progressively implemented from 1 August 2017, have been consolidated into the Manual for the WaterMark Certification Scheme.

The Manual details the operating structure of the Scheme and the process and procedural requirements for the certification of plumbing and drainage products. The Manual includes the Rules for the WaterMark Certification Scheme, and the Approved Certifier and Approved User agreements, as approved by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

The Manual for the WaterMark Certification Scheme was developed following a decision by the Building Ministers' Forum at its 31 July 2015 meeting to consolidate the previous rules of the WaterMark Certification Scheme from multiple separate documents into a single document independent of the PCA.

It is important to note the existing WaterMark Scheme Rules remain current in whole or in part until progressive implementation of the improved Scheme, commencing on 1 August 2017, has been completed.
