WaterMark Product Specification Consultation

The ABCB is responsible for the review and approval of all existing, new or amended product Specifications for adoption into the WaterMark Scheme. The Scheme Rules provide procedures and requirements for development of a new, or amended Specification. These procedures and requirements include releasing the draft document for public comment. This is to ensure all stakeholders are informed of any proposed Specification development and have the opportunity to provide input prior to finalisation of the document.

Stakeholders are invited to provide comment on any of the draft Specifications open for comment. All comments must be submitted to watermark@abcb.gov.au using the WaterMark Public Comment response sheet provided.

WMTS-525 Appliances - Therapeutic bath

This new Specification has been developed to address risks identified with the installation and use of therapeutic baths, including performance failures, leakage and impaired or failed conditions.

The public comment period for this Specification closes on Friday, 18 May 2018


WMTS-526 Flushing sink

This new Specification sets out the requirements for a flushing sink, being a sink manufactured from stainless steel comprising a BSP threaded inlet and integral box type flushing rim whereby the carriage of waste is discharged to the sanitary drainage network.

WMTS-524 Bathroom appliances

This new Specification sets out requirements for a bathroom appliance which integrates various fixtures and fittings into a fully functional unit for general use in a bathroom environment. The appliance allows for concealment of the fixtures when not in use.

The bathroom appliance may include the following;

  1. Water Closet Pan and Flushing Device
  2. Washbasin Included pipework and
  3. fittings to enable functionality and ease of connectivity to the plumbing and sanitary drainage system
