Landslide Hazards

This non-mandatory Handbook has been develop[ed to provide guidance to its users on the issues relating to building on sites that are prone to landslide hazard, including the planning, design, construction and maintenance of buildings and structure on such sites.

The Handbook does not set our preventative measures for landslides; rather it describes the means of estimating and managing the risk to life and property posed by landslides. It is expected that this Handbook will be used to develop solutions relevant to specific solutions in accordance with the generic principles and criteria contained herein.

The Handbook also cross-references the Australian Geomechanics Society resources.
