The ABCB provides opportunities for students that are studying building and construction related disciplines, or who have qualifications in these fields, through our Cadetship and Research Scholarship Programs.
The ABCB Cadetship is a 12 month government placement that offers you the opportunity to further develop your working knowledge and skills relating to the building and construction industry.
We are looking for applicants with good communication and research capabilities and strong team work skills. Given the nature of our work, the ABCB is specifically interested in applicants who have studied or worked in the following fields:
Building Certification/Building Surveying
Plumbing or Hydraulic Design or associated field.

ABCB Research Scholarship
The scholarship is valued at up to $5,000 and has been established to encourage undergraduate and postgraduate research in the field of building regulation in Australia. The scholarship is available for students undertaking study in the field of Built Environment or Engineering at an Australian educational institution. Applicants may be studying full-time, part-time or externally and there are no residency/citizenship requirements.
