Education: Events and Resources
With the implementation of the National Construction Code (NCC) incorporating plumbing and building within the one code, it is now more important than ever that the ABCB provides opportunities for industry to be fully informed of the current provisions, and ensure optimal awareness of emerging issues.
The ABCB conducts Information Seminars on an annual basis, to keep practitioners informed of the most recent changes to the NCC. Delivered in capital cities Australia-wide, the seminars are the best way to keep abreast of contemporary issues. Information about the seminar series can be found by clicking here.
The ABCB also delivers a biennial National Conference which brings together international and national leaders in their fields to address prevalent issues and what they mean for practitioners and our industry. During three full days of plenary sessions and workshops, delegates have the opportunity to hear presentations from acclaimed national and international speakers and participate hands-on in workshops covering a range of topical and contemporary issues. Information about our latest conference can be found by clicking here.
Annual ABCB awareness webcasts address topical matters such as the alignment of the Disability Access Provisions with the BCA. Practitioners can view webcasts at a time that suits them. More information can be found by clicking here.
The ABCB has also developed Educational Awareness Resource Kits to assist practitioners with training needs. We also produce handbooks to provide information on non-regulatory solutions to building-related issues. All of these materials are available free of charge.
Further information on these and other events and resources can be found by clicking on the left-hand side tool bar.
