BCA Resource Kits

The ABCB is currently developing a range of training modules (Resource Kits) to increase awareness of BCA provisions within the Australian building and construction sector.  The Resource Kits are intended to provide up-to-date and consistent information on the BCA and have been designed to assist you with your training needs.

The first two Kits in the series An Introduction to the BCA and Understanding the BCA’s Performance Requirements were released to industry associations, tertiary institutions and building control administrations in late 2005 and throughout 2006. The third and fourth modules in the series Understanding Energy Efficiency Provisions for Class 1 & 10 Buildings and Understanding Energy Efficiency Provisions for Class 2 to 9 Buildings were released during 2007.

A major component of the Resource Kits is an extensive PowerPoint presentation including lecture notes and comprehensive information on Performance Requirements and Alternative Solutions.  Also featured are FAQs, Group Exercises and Case Studies, which can all be workshopped as a group.

The Kits are available to industry trainers, tertiary lecturers and RTO's in a convenient CD-RoM format. To obtain the CD-RoM's please contact the ABCB at BCAawareness@abcb.gov.au
