Comment on the Exposure Draft of the definition for building complexity is closing soon
Don't miss your opportunity to comment!
Time is running out to help shape the definition of building complexity that Building Ministers will consider for inclusion in NCC 2022.
A nationally consistent definition of building complexity is intended to provide a basis for developing better safeguards for building design, construction and certification that are matched to the risk profile of a building.
Consultation closes on 1 November 2020, but don’t wait until the last day. Time constraints mean we are already thinking about ways to refine the definition based on the comments received so far. Generally people have asked for the definition to be:
- presented in a way that is simpler and easier to understand and apply, and
- integrated more closely with the NCC.
Extensions cannot be granted for this consultation. So if you are planning to comment, this is another good reason to submit your comments now.
