To help practitioners use the new Fire Safety Verification Method (FSVM), the ABCB is hosting a free webinar (online seminar) in August. The new FSVM was introduced in NCC 2019 and will be adopted on 1 May 2020. It provides a process for engineering the design of fire safety Performance Solutions for buildings.

The webinar will provide guidance on the use of the FSVM, with an opportunity for participants to ask questions. We've also partnered with the Fire Protection Association Australia, Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council and the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors to assist answering any questions you have.

Following the conclusion of the webinar, the ABCB will be seeking further input from participants on how we can continue to support you in using the FSVM.

The webinar is free to attend and engage with the panelists, however registration is required.

Certificate of attendance

The ABCB will provide a certificate of attendance to registered participants. This may be used to apply for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points from your industry association. Please contact your industry association for further information about their CPD requirements.
